Vietnam Univ. Sparks Outrage: Must Be Tall to Enroll?
A current coverage at Vietnam National University`s School of Management and Business (HSB) sparked outrage. According to DW News, HSB carried out a minimal peak requirement for admission, barring college students deemed “too short” from enrolling.
The coverage stipulated that lady candidates need to be at least 1. fifty-eight meters tall and adult males at least 1. sixty-five meters. However, the report moreover stated that “exceptions may be allowed in some cases.”
Vietnamese online newspaper first suggested the arguable admissions criteria, which ignited a heated social media debate. Following this public outcry, the Ministry of Education intervened on June 6 and told the college to re-compare its policy.
In response, HSB changed its admission standards. The peak requirement becomes scrapped for 3 of the 4 undergraduate programs, the ultimate most effective for the Management and Security course.
